Lake Tinnaroo on a Beautiful Day

Lake Tinnaroo has a wonderful sense of nostalgia about it. I remember the early 60’s when any large area of water was a mecca for family water skiing holidays. Times have changed in many dams and lakes in the surrounding area especially are no longer a water skiing paradise. Tinnaroo remains a popular spot for caravanning, camping, skiing an fishing family holidays and it was a joy yesterday to watch as modern high powered speed boats navigate the expansive lake system whilst remember my childhood days at a guest house at Nords Wharf, Central Coast NSW where every holidays was a skiing paradise across the lake.  I have not had my drone out much of late and thought it was time to drive up the gillies range to get some much needed practise away from the general public.Tinnaroo on a Friday had plenty of room to practise my take off’s and landing and managed a couple of shots that captured the mood of this extraordinary lake/Dam system.  My last Drone outing was in Bali two months ago and I crashed my poor drone due to failing to follow basic pre flight check list. In flight a propeller came loose and sent my Mavic Pro into a maniacal dance which ended with 4 blades buggered for ever, luckily I was flying very low and my task was to start catching my drone on land with an outstretched hand..
