Cairns is located on the North East of Australia and known as the Tropical Far North. Cairns is a coastal town with easy access to the great Barrier reef. Cairns has the most incredible coastline, although swimming is only recommended in the winter months due to the Marine Stinger that are in the local waters from November to May each year , however, swimming can still be enjoyed if you have the right gear or swim in netted area. The hinterland behind Cairns known as the Tableland is a contract to the Coastal areas with lush paddocks and several well know Waterfalls.
